Poor finishing and static defending ensured Manor came away from this game with absolutely nothing. Two great chances in the first 5 mins both of which fell to Bradley Knapman went begging and further strikes on goal from Asa Pamplin and Glen Connolly proved fruitless and when Pamplin was brought down in the box and the ref “waived play on” Manor knew it wasn’t to be. Despite all the possession by Manor they fell behind to a badly conceded goal when Knapman lost possession in his own half both Smith and Young were caught ball watching in the box which left a Brentwood player free to strike home from 6yds for the only goal of the game. More of the same followed in the second half but Manor failed to capitalise on any attempt on goal that came their way.
