Half
Manager Terry March made his debut for the team at
the tender age of 47 in this reserve game at Broadfields.
With a weakened side due to injuries we went 0–2
down in the first half.
2nd Half
In the second half we changed to a back three and pushed
forward extra players to gain the initiative and Man
of the Match and Skipper, Steve Jolly, headed in at
the far post to make it 1-2. We then took control of
the game and we scored through Frankie Curley to equalise
2-2. With only two minutes to go, Burnham attacked our
area and with a scramble off the line, the ball hit
their strikers shin pads and went in the net to kill
us off 2-3.
What bad luck.
MANAGERS COMMENTS
Today we were up against it due to a very weakened
team. I was very pleased with our performance coming
back from 0-2 down to equalise 2-2 with only a cruel
deflection beating us.
I would like to say a big thank you to all the players
for their positive attitude and believing in themselves.
We really should not have lost this game and if we continue
like this we will win more than we lose.
As for me, I am still recovering from all the aches
and bruises. Well done lads you were very unlucky today.
Terry March (Manager).
