Eton Manor back in League action so soon after the weekend’s disappointment of Saturdays Cup Final against Concord Rangers. A win today will bolster their confidence, plus put the Braves back into 4th spot in the league with 52 points.

A change to the starting line-up that faced Concord Saturday, in comes striker Ricky Husseyn along with Danny Dobson, Ray Coker, Clint Hodge, Chris Barratt and Steve Reading all getting the nod to start.

The Manor kick off, although it is Mauritius that start the more lively, Stephen Opoka breaks free and heads off towards the Manor goal, Opoka one on one with Andy Hall, however, Hall stands his ground and absorbs a fierce effort onto his chest.

Ricky Husseyn using his height and strength to good affect as he nods the ball into the path of Jordan Childs who racers off towards the Mauritius goal, Childs into the box and with his back to goal, turns a defender ‘but blasts the ball inches over the bar.

18 minutes on the clock and Mauritius catch the Manor defence asleep, free kick taken in the Mauritius half, the ball driven forward into the path of Mauritius's No 9 Roy Jones ‘who makes no mistake and his places the ball into the corner of the net, 1-0 to the visitors.

Almost from the restart the Manor hit back, Ricky Husseyn breaks free down the Mauritius right, Husseyn powers through a heavy challenge to get himself into the box, square across goal into the path of Clint Hodge who slides the ball home, 1-1.

Boggy conditions see the game contested in a muddy midfield battle, both sides finding it hard play flowing football.

Into the second period and the Manor come out in more determined mood, Danny Dobson charges down the right, on the edge of the area fires in a bullet into a packed defence, the ball rebounds out 'but only as far as Clint Hodge who tries to lob the Mauritius keeper ‘but the ball sails over the bar.

Mauritius come close, a free kick taken just outside the box, Andy Hall blocks the fierce shot 'but rebounds to the feet of Jones with the goal at his mercy fires inches wide of the post.

Anton Stephenson breaks clear, and is blatantly pulled back from behind on the edge of the box, the referee not hesitating to show a red card, Mauritius now down to 10 men.

Manor Substitute, Neil Barratt on for Chris Barratt.

Stephenson lines up the free kick 20 yards from goal, and places the ball into the top right corner of the net to put the Manor in front, 2-1.

Its now all Manor as the Mauritius side look lethargic, Ricky Husseyn, breaks through the Mauritius defence, options either side but decides to go it alone, Husseyn now 10 yards from goal blasts the ball off the legs of the Mauritius keeper and out for a corner.

Anton Stephenson once more showing utter determination and skill, collects the ball on the far left, just inside the Mauritius half and heads off towards goal, gets himself to the edge of the area and weaves through the Mauritius defence to nudge the ball into the net, to make the score 3-1 to the Manor.

Fabian Brown comes close after some good work from Jordan Childs down the left, Brown from close range flicks the ball just over the bar.

It’s now all Manor, Stephenson look certain to get his hatrick, one on one with the Mauritius keeper but skies his shot just over the bar.

Last Manor Substitute Steve Willis makes way for Jason Fox.

Last attack of the game, Fabian Brown, users his skill to turn the Mauritius defence and head off towards goal, gets into the box but slides the ball wide of the post.

The score finishing 3-1 to the Manor. A good second half performance by the Manor, the score-line could have been much more. Solid defending by the Braves marshalled by the Manor Skipper Steve Willis.

The Manor's next game is at home on Tuesday evening 1st April against Barking in the Semi Final Second leg of the League Cup.
