Eton Manor Travel
the short distance up the A13 to face Hullbridge for
this League fixture. The Manor making a few changes
to the line up that saw The Braves beat Southend Manor
in the GBMT Semi Final last week. Top marksman "Kunle
Adeoye" out through injury is replaced by Manley
Brown. Also Bradley Nelson working his way back to full
fitness gets the nod to start in the middle of the pitch.

The Manor taking
their time to settle look to probe this young looking
Hullbridge side, Liam Mulcare using his lightning pace
to create the Manors first attempt on goal, Mulcare
sends a great ball into the box, Manley Brown connects
with his head but the ball goes over the bar.

15 minutes on
the clock and Mulcare with the ball just in the Hullbridge
half spots Anton Stephenson making a darting run towards
goal down the centre of the park, Mulcare sends in a
perfectly timed pass onto the chest of Stephenson ‘as
he heads off towards goal, the Hullbridge keeper Lawrance
Pridle quick off his line spreads himself wide as the
ball rebounds off Pridle and into the path of Danny
Dobson who places the ball into the net 1-0 to the Manor.

Stephenson looking
to further his excellent goal tally of 27 goals before
the start of this game comes close with a blistering
effort which sails just over the bar.
Dobson and Brown
creating another Manor chance, Dobson down the left
swings in a great ball to Manley Brown who once again
connects well but the ball fires just over the bar.

33 minutes and
Hullbridge attack down the Manor left, Jason Fox tries
to intercept by seems out of position ‘as he makes
the challenge, leaving Hullbridge’s Chay Spreadbourgh
running towards goal and slots home from close range,
1-1.

35 minutes and
the Manor immediately hit back with their second of
the game, the ball driven in from a corner kick by Liam
Mulcare, Anton Stephenson bringing the ball under control
finds a yard and drills the ball home, 2-1 to the Manor.

Another great
build up by the Manor, Jordan Childs opens up the Hullbridge
defence down the left, spreads the ball to Brown just
on the edge of the box, Brown crashes through the Hullbridge
defence and lays the ball into the path of Mulcare who
over hits his shot as the ball goes wide of the post.

41 minutes gone
and its all Manor, Jordan Childs working hard down the
left, goes to the by-line, gets to the edge of the box
and rounds a Hullbridge defender and lays the ball into
the path of Stephenson who doesn't hesitate to smash
the ball into the net making it 3-1 at the break.
Second period
and a Manor mix-up in defence leads to Hullbridge coming
close, a hopeful high ball towards The Manor goal, hits
the post and goes out for a goal kick.

Anton Stephenson
becomes the provider, down the right hand-side, sweeps
into the box and sets-up Manley Brown with an opportunity
from close range, Brown connects well but the ball rebounds
off a blue shirt and out for a Corner.

Jordan Childs
confidence growing with every game springs off down
the left, gets to the by-line and into the box, seeing
a gap launches the ball towards goal but rebounds off
the post.
Skipper Willis
fancies his chances from about 30 yards out, the ball
up high and rebounds off the bar and is cleared for
a throw-in.

Mulcare and Brown
creating a good opportunity, Mulcare down the right,
not hesitating sends in a fabulous pinpoint pass to
Brown with his back to goal from 10 yards out smashes
the ball low to his right, the Hullbridge keeper down
low to push the ball out for another Manor corner.
Its all Manor
who seem to have the game under control, Neil Barratt
carrying a foot injury makes way for Chris Barratt.

tries his luck from 25 yards out, the ball whistles
just post the post. Manley Brown off for Loren Dallo.
The Manor make
their last substitute, Skipper Steve Willis off for
Ray Coker.

The Manor with
another great chance to further extend their lead, Jordan
Childs sweeps into the box with just the keeper to beat
seems to scuff his shot to the left, the keeper down
to his right to make a fine save.

88th minutes
gone and the Manor concede a free kick on the edge of
the box, Hullbridge substitute Garry Patterson steps
up to place the ball into the net after taking a deflection
making the score 2-3.

Hullbridge go
for broke 'as they surge on the Manor goal, 90th minute
and Tyla Phillips smashes home the equaliser from close
range to make the score 3-3.
The final whistle
blows to great cheers from the Hullbridge squad, the
Manor should have buried the game but only come away
with 1 point!

This young Hullbridge
side worked hard for one another and proved that they
are capable of scoring and showed great character as
they refused to give up hope right up until the final
whistle.

Still
some positives for the Manor during the game, one of
which sees Manor Striker Anton Stephenson looking as
sharp as ever ‘two very well taken goals that
pushes his goal tally up to 29 goals this season in
all competitions.
