The Manor without
many key players this week, suffer further misery when
Ray Coker and Keeper Darren Smyth both pull out, due
to injury, before the start of the game.

The Manor get
off to a flying start, in the opening few minutes of
the game, when Tashwell Thompson, breaks loose and heads
towards goal, Thompson challenged, but Managed to get
a final touch, as he watches the ball loft over the
keeper's head, and into the back of the net, 1-0 to
the Manor.

A few minutes
later, a nice through ball again from Thompson, into
the path of Danny Hunt, who crushes the ball into the
arms of the Brentwood keeper.

Brentwood finding
it difficult to contain Tashwell Thompson the lively
Manor Striker, finally find a tactical solution, as
the talented striker is targeted and crumbles to the
floor, Thompson fails to run off the injury and is replaced
by Lawal Alhadi.

Brentwood now
start to turn on the heat, and pin the Manor back into
their own half, the Manor count their blessings as Brentwood
miss a golden opportunity, a few yards out and send
the ball screaming over the bar.

Brentwood now
playing some neat football, and start to attack the
Manor down the left, Chris Barratt back from injury,
fumbles to the ground, allowing Brentwood another opportunity,
squaring the ball to the left into the path of an on
coming striker, who blasts his shot over the bar. The
Brentwood bench showing their frustration and urging
the Town forward.

Brentwood continue
to pressure the Manor in waves of attacks, the Manor
defence at this stage looking solid, Manor keeper Fabian
Awahkum making some acrobatic saves to keep the manor
in front.

Brentwood finally
get their break through, and score from some fabulous
work down the right, the ball cut into the danger area
and stroked past the stranded Manor keeper Awahkum.

Late into injury
time and Marsh caught wrong footed as Brentwood cross
the ball into the area, the ball nodded down just wide
of the post.

53 minutes played?
and Brentwood take the lead from a well worked goal.
Brentwood go into the break 2-1 up.

The second period
and Brentwood showing the Manor no mercy, as they apply
more pressure and score making it 3-1.

The Manor get
punished yet again, this time with a penalty for not
dealing with a high ball effectively enough, a blundering
challenged left the Referee with no choice but to point
to the Penalty spot. A well taken spot kick allows Brentwood
to cruise into the lead 4-1.

The Manor settle
down and Managed to contain a lively Brentwood strike-force,
for the best part of the second period. Some good work
by Tony Leary in the centre of the park allowing the
Manor to push down the flanks.

Manor's midweek
FA Cup goal scoring hero, Chido Ukalgwa, working hard
on he left side, finds a few yards and heads off towards
the Brentwood goal, the keeper down low and into safe
hands.

63 minutes and
Charlie Tarten making way for Neil Barratt, who was
called into immediate action as Brentwood tear off down
the left, the ball driven in low, the Manor Keeper making
a spectacular double save to keep the score at 4-1.

The Manor struggling
at this stage of the game, Brentwood looking the more
composed on the ball as the Manor struggle to keep possession.

Once again deep
into injury time the referee allowing an extra 12 minutes?
see Brentwood hit 5 as they penetrated the Manor defence
once more.

The Manor will
take very little away from this game. Brentwood played
some attractive football at times and look to be a solid
contender for the ESL title this season.
The score line
reflects the work that is needed if the Manor wish to
progress this season. Heads dropping to early in the
game allowed Brentwood the confidence to over-turn the
Braves in such emphatic style. The Manors fitness levels
looked suspect and should keep the Manor Coaches busy
for the next few weeks! Manor Players, when they awake
on Sunday morning should ask themselves whether or not'
they gave an "Honest Performance"?
