The Manor's recent
form suggests today fixture was always going to be tough
encounter. A short trip up the A13 to Bowers & Pitsea
who have won their last four games in the League. The
Manor's squad currently depleted due to suspensions
and injuries look to field another changed side today.

First few minutes
and Bowers look to have the bigger appetite for the
game, Dean Allan bursting through the Manor defence
but pushes the ball a few yards to far and can only
watch as the ball runs out of play.

Manor's new Keeper,
Chamberlin out quick to prevent Bowers from scoring
early, blocks with his feet out for a corner.
10 Minutes and
Bowers free kick on the edge of the box, whilst the
Manor were organising the wall, Bowers take it quickly
to the feet of Dean Allan who smashes the ball home
from close range 1-0 to the home team.

Bowers again
down the Manor left, the ball driven into the box Allen
again tries to guide the ball into the net, but Chamberlin
down low to scoop the ball up.
Duku and Debono
combining well. Duku sending a great ball into the Bowers
area, Mark Debono brings the ball under control just
inside the Bowers area, however, Ex Manor favourite
Paul Docherty sweeps the ball away for a throw.

The Manor come
close, David Annobil collects the ball from 30 yards,
with the ball at his feet shoots from long range, not
connecting cleaning, however the ball heads off towards
goal and looks to be a relatively simple catch for Bowers
Keeper Rob Small, at the very last second the ball catches
a divot and looks to be going over the keepers head,
Small reacts quickly to palm the ball over the bar for
a corner, great recovery from the Bowers keeper.

Bowers catching
the Manor out in defence burst through down the Manor
left, Dean Allen making the score 2-0 with 35 minutes
gone.

David Annobil
and Stephen Parker this time combining well, Annobil
chesting the ball down into the path of Parker who shoots
just over the ball.

Manor having
good possession but failing to look threatening, Robert
Boyce dong well down the left, sends a great ball in
from the by-line, knocked out to Alex Read who tries
to find some room but closed down by the resilient Bowers
defence and the ball finally goes out for another Manor
corner.

Robert Boyce
screaming for the ball down the Bowers right but is
left feeling frustrated as the Manor try to attack through
the centre and is met with a brick wall of a defence.

The Manor's Charlie
Tarten working hard in defence, creates an opportunity
by sending Parker out wide, Parker squares to Steve
Reading who sends a great ball into Alex Read, Read
with his back to goal turns quickly and appeared to
lose his balance as the ball skips wide of the post.

Second period
and Tim Oduniyi on for the injured Tony Mash, Oduniyi
with almost his first touch from 25 yards tries a shot
which just whistles past the Bowers post.

Dean Allen obviously
not content with his two goals goes of in search of
his hatrick, Allen bursts through the Manor defence
his 6ft frame only matched by the determination of Chris
Barratt who sweeps the ball away from Allen who looked
to be clean through!

Bowers looking
for their 3rd come close, the ball driven just to the
edge of the box, Allan again lines up his shot but Chamberlin
pushes the ball over the bar.
Chamberlin into
action again, using his legs this time to block a double
strike from Bowers, Chamberlin does well under pressure.

Allen seeing
Chamberlin off his line tries a long range effort, Chamberlin
again did well to recover his position and pushes the
ball over the bar.
Robert Boyce
off for Steve Thomas.

Dean Allen taking
all his chances today, kills off the Manor in the 75th
minute with a sweet curling shot into the net from 15
yards out, 3-0 to Bowers.

It's game over
now as Bowers & Pitsea run down the remaining minutes
of the game, the Manor finishing with a minor flurry
without troubling the Bowers defence too much.

Despite the scoreline
which in truth flatters the home side, the Manor having
much of the possession, which then simply turned to
powder 25 yards from the Bowers goal! The Manor the
busier of the two sides and Bowers in fairness were
average, Dean Allen's clinical finishing being the only
difference between the two sides on the day.
