The Manor welcome
Asa Pamplin's Capital League side AFC Hornchurch today.
This being the 7th Pre-season game for the Braves with
one left against Brimsdown Rovers on Tuesday night before
the start of the League season on the 12th.

This was always
going to be a good test for the Manor as AFC have won
their last 10 games in a row. Pamplin getting his men
well organised, however, match fitness showed today
as AFC have only played 2 Pre-Season games.

The Manor looking
the more composed in the early stages of the game. New
boy Devon, looking solid at the back alongside Mark
Clarey, Neil Barratt and Chido.

Jamie Wallace
getting his first start for a few games looked back
to his best as he mopped up any loose balls and was
creative going forward.

Another impressive
display by Manor new player Karim Alnakash, taking up
position in the centre and used the width of the pitch
to set up play time and time again. Good reader of the
game, just lacks match fitness at the moment. Karim
scoring his first goal for the Manor with a 25 yard
bullet into the top corner of the net giving the Manor
a 1-0 lead.

Manor Capt Johnny
Quinn playing on the right, was a constant source of
motivation for the younger team players, helped and
encouraged them throughout the game.

Manor front Men
Danny Hunt and Ricky Defreitas worked hard in the heat
to open up AFC's defence, only to find AFC's Steve Baldwin
on top of his game.

Another debut
given, this time to goal keeping sensation "Fabian"
who within minutes of coming on for Darren Smyth, pulled
off a remarkable double shot from close range which
resulted in the ball smashing off the crossbar.

1-0 at the break
and the Manor looking worthy winners. Second half saw
Manor youngster Ryan Whyche take up a role in the middle,
Whyche just needing more games to improve his fitness.

Whitelock giving
another Manor youngster his chance, Stephen Parker playing
his first Pre-season game worked extremely hard, his
own level of expectation on himself is demanding, he
kept up with the pace and provided some nice touches
from midfield, in time this lad could be an automatic
selection.

Manor debut for
Alex had a good game, played some neat one twos with
Quinny on the right, had a spell up front and looked
very composed on the ball, another one who looked short
of match fitness but looked a great prospect for the
future.

Ricky Defreitas
looked busy again today, another player who demands
much from himself and in turn is equally demanding of
his team mates, scored a fabulous goal, from a tight
angle, crushed the ball into the net, making it 2-0
to the Manor.

In the last remaining
minutes of the game Aaron Gayle opened his scoring account
at the Manor, when he rounded the keeper to slot home
Manor's third of the game. Gayle, having played in all
7 Pre-season friendlies deserved the goal and hopefully
will give the lad confidence in the future.

Other solid performance's
from Phil Vermeuken, Battling Charlie Tarten, good to
see Darren Smyth back between the sticks in the first
half and Manor Man of the Match Chido Ukalgwa.

The final score
3-0 to the Manor, who deserved the result, flashes of
good football from this talented squad of players. Everyone
now looking forward to the opening game against Romford
next Saturday.
