Burnham ground staff must be congratulated for getting this game started. Heavy rain leading up to Saturday caused the Burnham pitch to be waterlogged, however, Ground staff worked through the morning to ensure the game went ahead on a great surface.

The Manor look thin on the ground leading into this game, Asst Manager Jamie Warren and Head Coach Martin Ash deciding to call up the Manor youngsters. 6 players given their first start of the season in a Manor Red & White shirt.

The Manor look to be pinned back by a young & determined Burnham side. Having most of their possession down the left hand-side, a fabulous solo effort to the by-line, passed across goal and into the path of Young Burnham midfielder Jack Callow who slots home form 10 yards after 3 minutes. 1-0 to Burnham.

7 mins and the Manor collecting possession midway in the Burnham half, Jamie Barry sends a looping ball over the Burnham defence and into the path of Manor's No 9 Alex Read, the Burnham No1 Dave McCartney quick off his line to scoop up the ball.

Burnham having far too much room down the Manor right, as they attack again, the ball driven in low but this time scuffed just wide of the post.

Burnham on another dazzling run down the left, the ball lifted high into the air, the ball controlled well by Jack Callow and drilled inches from the post! The Manor riding their luck.

Burnham continue to look threatening, this time the ball over the top of the Manor defence into the path of Burnham's No 10 who mistimed his shot wide of the post!

Burnham's young Talent Jack Callow on another mazy run into the Manor half, great solo effort as he manages to get just inside the Manor area but blasts just over the bar.

Stand-in Keeper for the Manor does well to collect a fierce shot from just outside the box. The score remaining 1-0 to Burnham.

26th minutes and the Manor working hard and gaining in confidence, a well timed run down the left hand-side by Manor front man George Cooper, who skips past a defender to the by line and sends the ball across goal, the ball only half cleared by Burnham into the path of Jamie Barry who blasts the ball home making the score 1-1.

The Manor now putting the pressure on the home side, the Manor men gaining in confidence get a free kick slightly off centre just outside the box the ball driven in but blocked by the Burnham wall.

The Manor now looking more composed and playing some great one touch football, try again this time Mark Debono down the left sends a great ball into the path of Stephen Parker who shots just wide of the post.

Burnham showing the Manor that they are still dangerous and counter attack this time a fabulous run by Burnham's Jack Callow just inside the box, however, Manors dependable duo of Chris Barratt and Tony Marsh forcing the young Burnham midfielder into submission.

Burnham attack this time through the centre, the Manor keeper comes out quickly and slides the ball away with his feet, the ball sits up nicely for a shot but again the Manor keeper smothering the ball to safely.

Second period of the game and the Manor looking the more composed as Stephen Parker on the ball sets up a shot from just outside the area see Chris Barratt blast the ball over the bar.

The Manors new midfield Partnership looking rock solid Tim Oduniyi & Jamie Barry combining well as they set up Alex Read down the left, Read weaving through the Burnham defence just outside the box pushes the ball to Cooper who lines his shot up, just before he pulls the trigger looks to be upended as the ref waves play on.

72nd minute and Burnham attack, the Manor push Burnham wide to the touchline, Burnham's substitute Mitchell looks up and crosses the ball into the box, the ball swerved towards goal and dips at the last minute over the head of the stranded keeper 2-1 to Burnham!

Alex Read on another run into the Burnham half gets just outside the box and shoots, the keeper does well to parry the ball away, George Copper followed up but the ball booted to safety.

Tony Marsh bringing the ball 35 yards and sees Stephen Parker running towards goal near the back post, sends a sublime ball onto the chest of Parker who half volleyed the ball, Burnham's No 1 Dave McCartney does well to palm the ball over the bar, lucky escape for Burnham.

Burnham coming close with a near range shot, Manors Steve Thomas quick to react as he forces a corner to squash any danger.

The clock runs down as the Referee Mr Garward blows for the final whistle. This was a good natured game with only one caution being given by the Match official. Both sides can take enormous pride and gave good entertainment to the 39 spectators that turned out to watch the game.

This new look Manor team looked competent and lively, the players were working hard and talking to one another. The difference on the day was match fitness and a lack of familiarity amongst the Manor players. However, if Warren and Ash can keep this young side playing then results will follow for sure.
