The Manor back
into action after a 14 day break, previous two games
were postponed due to the weather.
The Manor looking
livery and within 3 minutes take the lead, new signing
Anton Stephenson collects the ball from Jamie Barry
on the edge of the APSA area, drops his shoulder and
blasts the ball past the Keeper 1-0 to the Manor.

Almost from the
restart the Manor regain possession, Ray Coker showing
pure class as he sends a perfectly weighted ball to
the feet of Stephenson, who rounds a defender, the ball
slightly over hit as the ASPA keeper does well to clear
the danger.

APSA win a corner,
the ball sent high into the box, Manor Keeper Darren
Smyth using his commanding presence to punch the ball
clear to lightening fast Tashwell Thompson who heads
off down the APSA right handside towards the APSA goal,
squares the ball to Jamie Barry on the edge of the APSA
box but the ball blasts inches just over the bar.

APSA working
really hard to get back into the game, get a throw-in
deep into the Manor half, Neil Barratt using his 6ft
3in frame to regain possession sends the ball long to
Stephenson, who users his silky smooth skills to get
to the edge of the box, finding half a yard of space
blasts the ball on goal, the ball blocked and falls
to the feet of inform striker Chris Hammond who smashes
the ball into the net. The Manor really looking good
in all positions at this stage of the game.

The Manor continue
to press the APSA defence hard, however, get caught
three times in as Many minutes with the offside trap.
Anton Stephenson
& Chris Hammond continue to terrorise the APSA defence,
Hammond finding some room belts the ball from 20 yards,
the keeper down low to push the ball round the post
for a Manor corner.

APSA come close,
taking advantage of a mini mix up in the Manor defence,
a nice one two finished with the ball inches from the
Manor post, a lucky escape for the Manor.

Stephenson again
with the ball at his feet ghosts past the last defender
and smashes the ball high into the top corner of the
goal, APSA keeper Anthony Cook does really well to get
a hand to the powerful shot, and manages to push the
ball up high but still in play, Stephenson continues
to challenge but Cook collects.
Skipper Jamie
Wallace, sees an opportunity and tries a cheeky long
range shot from 35 yards, the ball bullets over the
bar.

A wonderful bit
of football that typified the Manor performance so far,
when Ray Coker collected the ball from Carl Bailey,
Coker just inside his own half sends a sublime ball
into the APSA penalty area straight to the feet of Stephenson
who volleys the ball and can only watch in frustration
as the ball blasts centimeters over the bar. Fabulous
bit of football by the Manor.

Neil Barratt
having an outstanding game for the Manor has a go himself,
Jamie Wallace flicks the ball into Hammond, who back
heels it on the edge of the box to Barratt who slices
the ball just post the post, its all Manor at the moment.
Barry and Hammond
combine well inside the APSA half, Stephenson collects
the ball just inside the box by the penalty spot, picks
out the angle and slots home past the Keeper 3-0 to
the Manor.

The second period
and the Manor return unchanged as the game kicks off
Manor again take up the initiative and pressurise the
APSA defence, Hammond in the box just needed to pull
the trigger but unselfishly slides the ball across goal
to Thompson who sliced the ball only for it to spin
wide of the post.
Devon Saunders
sends Mark Clarey off down the right handside, Clarey
to the byline sends in a great ball in, the keeper pawed
the ball up on to the bar and out for another Manor
corner.

APSA's turn now
to attack and speed off down the Manor right, almost
to the byline and Carl Bailey with a superb sliding
tackle to come away with the ball.
Anton Stephenson
showing fabulous vision, with his back to goal does
an over head kick which lands to the feet of Jamie Barry
who squares the ball into the box and Wallace obliges
by sliding the ball into the net making the score 4-0
to the Braves.

Double substitutions,
Jason McCarthy on for Jamie Barry and Danny Sabaroche
on for Chris Hammond.

Manor Keeper
Darren Smyth not having to much involvement, needed
to be sharp as APSA come close, skipping past two Manor
defenders into the box Smyth down to his right to pull
off a fabulous save.

Another Manor
substituted Jamie Wallace hands over the skippers armband
to Manor youngster Stephen Parker.
APSA attack again,
some good play in midfield opened up the Manor defence,
the ball driven in, Saunders just doing enough to tighten
the angle as the ball spins wide of the post.

APSA with a free
kick from 30 yards out come close as the ball blasts
just over the Manor bar.
Manor take a
quick free kick, to Ray Coker, who notices Mark Clarey
coming in on the back post, Clarey hits the ball well
but rebounds off the post, another lucky break for APSA.

Neil Barratt
once again showing real dominance in the Manor half
by coming away with the ball after an ASPA attack, Barratt
sends the ball down the left hand side, Jason McCarthy
latches onto the ball and from outside the box curves
a great shot into the top right hand corner of the net
giving Anthony Cook APSA's keeper no chance at all,
5-0 to the Manor.

Stand in Skipper
Stephen Parker working hard in the centre of the park,
sends a beautiful ball from the halfway line to the
feet of Stephenson, who rounds the keeper to slide the
ball into the net for his third and Manors 6th.

A consolation
Goal for APSA as they score from close range making
Score 6-1.
A couple of late
onslaughts by Danny Sabrouche to no avail, the Manor
eventually worthy winners at 6-1.

Some great performances
on show today, new signing Anton Stephenson showing
all round skills and an ability to score not once but
three times. Involved in most attacks and proving to
be a great signing by Manager Kirk Whitelock.

Really good to
see Neil Barratt back to his best, real solid performance
by the big defender and worthy of the Man of the Match
award.
