The Manor Travel
to Stansted in this League Cup Group stage in pole position,
with 6 points from their last two Cup games. Kirk Whiitelock
forced to make some squad changes due to injuries and
holidays was in good spirits before the game.

Stansted without
their Legend Tony Mercer who recently transferred to
Romford, looked up for the game in the first 10-15 minutes,
before Manor got their Opener from a fabulous volley
from Manor defender Alan Griffiths, who struck the ball
sweetly from 18 yards passed the outstretched hands
of Stansted keeper Paul Dennis to make it 0-1 to the
Manor.
Griffiths involved
in another great opportunity as he caresses a top draw
pass over the heads of the retreating Stansted defence
right into the path of Peter Kana, with the ball at
his feet and only the keeper to beat, slashes the ball
over the bar!
Peter Kana taking
advantage of a poor back pass, latches on to the ball
and creates a one on one with the keeper, however, Dennis
going to ground quickly to swipe the ball off the feet
of the Manor striker.
The Manor's Peter
Kana having a very frustrating time this season, proved
he could score from anywhere on the park time and time
again in Pre-season games, now doing every thing right
accept putting the ball in the back of the net, felt
a massive relief in the 41st minute of the game when
he collected the ball wide down the left hand-side,
cuts inside to the edge of the 18 yard line and fires
across goal, the ball curving slightly to hit the inside
of the net, making it 2-0 to the Manor.

Stansted come
close before the break, a great build up in the centre
of the park which resulted in an opportunity with the
Manor goal at the mercy of Paul Marin, sent the ball
into orbit.
The Manor giving
2 players their debut starts, Danny Mercer & Danny
Hunt both looked superb on the ball and help create
so much for the Manor on the night. Plus the Manor welcome
back Sam Williams currently on lone from AFC Hornchurch,
the Manor have missed Williams pace and shear determination
at right back.

The second period,
and Danny Hunt gets on to the end of another fabulous
pass from Griffiths, Hunt hits the ball just sneaks
over the bar.
55 minutes and
Peter Kana chases a seemingly lost cause when the ball
is played back to Dennis the Stansted keeper, Kana showing
dogged determination closes down the stansted keeper,
who try's to clear his line, Kana sticking out his boot
catches the ball which drops kindly for the Slovakian
striker as it bounces over the head of the unfortunate
Stansted keeper, leaving the Manor Striker with the
simple task of touching the ball over the line to make
it 3-0.

Stansted not
sitting back have a good spell on the Manor goal, luckily
for the Manor, keeper Steve Richards in fine form as
he blocks the ball with his body.
Young Danny Mercer
playing for the first time for the Manor looked dynamite
tonight, worked so hard, and was involved in everything,
nearly got himself on to the score sheet when he blasted
a 30 yard bullet just over the bar.

Jamie Wallace
has been an absolute revelation for the Manor this season,
signed from Tring Athletic at the beginning of this
season, proved time and time again that he can influence
the game at any time, Wallace collecting another lost
cause and forces a Stansted player to make a mistake
in his own penalty area, Peter Kana quickly reacting
and intercepts the ball and charges on goal, Kana unselfishly
lays the ball to his left into the path of Wallace who
hits his shot just wide of the post.
Steve Richards
again called in to action, this time a high ball in
the Manor box the ball hit on the half volley forces
Richards to make a save at full stretch.
The Manor become
complacent, poor back pass resulted in a Luis Frota
going round The Manor keeper, and with an open goal,
strokes his shoot on target, only for the Manor Skipper
Steve Reading to clear the ball off the Manor goal line.

Williams, Docherty
and Barratt working really hard to create opportunities
for the Manor strikers, Paul Docherty sending a great
ball to Wallace who once again sends Kana on his way
towards goal, this time Dennis saves brilliantly.
85 minutes and
Peter Kana bags his hatrick on the night, goes it alone
towards goal, with two defenders in toe smashes the
ball in the net making it 4-0 on the night.

Some fabulous
individual displays tonight by the Manor men, which
resulted in a fantastic team performance.
Some real solid
defending by Richards, Griffiths, Williams, Reading,
Barratt, Matty Marsh, some flair and creativity from
new boys Mercer and Danny Hunt, when Paul Docherty is
in form the Manor always look a much better side and
Jamie Wallace was the architect in the centre of the
park tonight and of course the Match winning performance
of Peter Kana the Slovakian Striker who takes Man of
the Match honours for a spectacular Hatrick.
