The Manor at
home to their ground sharing hosts today for the first
time in the ESL. Tilbury using their own visiting facilities
gave their committee members a chuckle.

The Game kicked
off at a blistering pace only to be held up for 5 minutes
whilst Tilbury's No 10 who was upended was treated on
the pitch.

The Game restarted
and almost immediately The Manor broke free down the
right, a neat ball played over the top of the retreating
Tilbury defence into the path of Jamie Wallace who gently
chipped The ball over the head of Adam Seal making it
1-0 to the Braves.

The Dockers didn't
delay in responding two minutes later when Chris Barratt
concedes a free kick 30 yards from the Manor goal, the
Ball stroked well, but almost seemed to go in slow motion
as it crossed the Manor goal-line!

The Manor working hard and looked the
more threatening of the two sides, the Braves break
through the middle of the park, Peter Kana upended after
beating the last defender, just outside the penalty
box. Free kick taken straight into the hands of Adam
Seal the Tilbury Keeper.

The Manor taking the game to Tilbury
once more, Matty Marsh collects the ball down the left
handside, cutting inside sends a perfect ball across
goal on to the head of the diving Jason McCarthy, the
ball screams just over the bar!

The Dockers take the initiative and
create some good play of their own, a well worked ball
from right to left resulted in a well taken goal in
the 34th minute, 1-2 to Tilbury.

36 minutes and Tilbury take a corner,
the ball floated high into the Manor box, shouts from
the Manor defence appeared to interfere with the Keepers
decision to punch clear, the ball dropping over the
head of Carl Prince who could only watch as a Tilbury
player was ready to strike to make it 1-3 to the Dockers!

A challenged on the Manor's Jason McCarthy
resulted in McCarthy getting a straight Red himself
after an incident involving the referee. The Manor now
down to 10 men had their work cut out.

The Dockers now looking comfortable,
forcing Prince to make a crucial save from a set piece.

The Manor working off the back foot,
continue to grind out a performance and continue to
work hard to Produce chances, the Manor new striker
partnership of Patrick Thompson and Peter Kana has real
potential, debutante Thompson try's to create another
opportunity, going alone down the right, just about
to pull the trigger and collapsed under two heavy challenges
from Tilbury defenders.

The second period and the Braves with
fire in their bellies take the game once more to Tilbury,
Paul Docherty leading by example as he battles out opportunitys
for the Manor, Thompson coming close in the 56th minute
from a well worked ball from Jamie Wallace down the
centre into the path of Thompson who fires his shot
just wide of the post.

Manor enjoying a good period as the
10 Manor Men work hard to pull back the score, but against
the run of play The Dockers strike again making it 1-4
from another excellently taken set piece.

The game finally finishing 1-4 to Tilbury,
some clinical finishing proved to be the difference
on the day. The score line slightly flattered Tilbury
as the Manor had most of the attacking play in the first
half.

A great performance by the Manor new
boy Patrick Thompson who was class at times today, looked
superb on the ball and looks to have a good understanding
with Manor strike partner Peter Kana.
