Eton Manor FC took on Burnham
Ramblers their old ground share friends from last season.
The Manor took the game to the Ramblers from the start
and looked the better of the two sides. Both teams playing
neat one touch football on a decent surface went for
the win putting everything into the game.

Dave Armstrong's vital miss after
25 minutes proved decisive
After 25 minutes Manor's Dave
Armstrong found himself with an open goal only to blast
it over the bar. Just before the break Manor's Lee Whitelock
and George Durrant with a slick one two put Forde away
only to see the ball catch the outside of the post with
the keeper beat. 0-0 at half time and a injury to Chris
Barrett meant Manor had to change things around second
half. This gave Burnham the advantage and they duly
took that with 2 goals inside 10 minutes. Nicky Mitchell
and Wadud Ahmed were both superb and Tony Marsh can
count himself unlucky to be on a losing side, but The
Manor can hold their heads up after a very good performance,
but they must learn to take there chances. Manors mom
Tony Marsh.

Chris Barrett's injury in the second
half gave the home side the advantage
The Manor now look forward
to welcoming Cornard United in the FA Cup next Saturday
at home in Tilbury. The Manor should include the much
needed experience of current missing first team players,
Pamplin, Scales, Morris, Marks, Quinn and Prince.
