The Manor took out their frustration
of the past week on London APSA. The workmanship and
teamwork was obvious to see by all. The Manor weakened
by a depleted squad with Pamplin, Quinny not available,
Lee Whitelock injured and Prince unwell on the bench
meant that the Manor showed it had strength in depth
by drafting fringe players into the squad and still
managing to get a good result.

ASAP
keeper clearing his lines
The game was thrown into confusion
after 3 minutes as Richards was adjudged to have hand
balled outside his area! The wet surface looked like
it carried the Manor keeper outside his area. The lineman
flagging to the referee and after 4 minutes of discussions
the referee decided to red card the Manor keeper? Davy
Armstrong took the green jersey while Prince appeared
to be warming up. Armstrong did a superb job for the
following 10 minutes so Whitelock permitted him to carry
on for the rest of the game.

Ball
cracking off the post from a Forde blast
The Manor now down to 10 men
looked comfortable going forward and in the 12th minute
a great through ball to Mitchell saw the Manor take
the lead. The 10 men Manor taking control of the game
and playing some great football had the game by the
scruff of the neck and in the 32nd minute saw Haniff
playing his best football for the Manor scored to make
it 0-2 to the Manor boys.

"GOAL"
Forde lob over the ASAP keeper
After the break APSA come out
fighting and nearly scored after some lovely build up
play from the midfield which lead to a APSA striker
go on a one on one with Armstrong and the Manor stand
in keeper out of his area in time to rob what looked
like a certain goal, more controversy followed in the
53rd minute when Tony Marsh connected with an APSA player,
Marsh receiving his second yellow of the game got his
marching orders! The Manor now down to 9 men!! thoughts
of last Tuesdays game with Bowers crossed everyone's
mind where The Manor had 3 players sent off. However,
no fear was needed as Kirk Whitelock and Stuart Margolis
commanded the Manor players from the dugout and normal
business was resumed as the 9 men Manor started to regain
control of the game once again and in the 79th minute
a quality ball down the center from Ahmed to Forde who
shrugged off two defenders to lob the goalkeeper to
make it 0-3 to the Manor. Young Stephen Whitelock came
on with 10 minutes still on the clock and showed he
has real potential for the future, the young striker
looked sharp and caused ASPA all kinds of problems and
nearly came close to scoring Manor's forth narrowly
missing the outside of the post.

ASAP
attack soon broke down by the Manor defence
APSA found a consolation Goal
in injury time to make the final score 1-3 to the Manor
Brave. Chris Barrett Capt for the night can feel proud
of the display from the Manor Boys.
All in all a good game from
Eton Manor who showed good control on the ball and worked
hard for one another. full credit to Davy Armstrong
stand in keeper who looked in command between the sticks
for the Manor. Also special mentions to Nicky Mitchell
who looks to have settled into the first team and scored
Manor's Opener,Grant Smith who continues to improve
with each match, James Morris who's work down the left
hand side was exceptional, Haniff who gave 100% and
was all over the park, Connolly who continues to improve
has real pace and creates so much for the Manor, and
lastly George Durrant who worked so hard in the middle
of the pitch.
