| The
Manor started this league encounter well and came close
early in the game when Jon Quinn created some magic
and sent Chris Hammond down the Town left hand-side,
Hammond took his chance sending the ball just over the
bar.

The Town looking comfortable on the ball playing attractive
football and came close when Pamplin holding possession
set Negus up 5 yards into the Manor area some quick
thinking by the fast improving Manor defender Steve
Reading cutting out any danger.

The Manor's Prosper Lobe playing a new role deep in
his own half adding an extra man in defence crowding
out a lively looking Town strike force.

11th minute the Manor as so often happens early in
the game were caught napping as the Town slipped down
the left Matty Negus sending in a fabulous looping ball
across the Manor goal, Carl Prince came out to collect
but appeared to miss the ball instead landed on to the
foot of David Allen who bundled the
ball into the back of the net.

The Manor trying to play flowing Football in the 15th
minute Prosper Lobe sending Steve Whitelock on a run
gave a neat pass down the right to Glenn Connolly running
towards goal blasted his shot into the hands of The
Town keeper.

21st minute Manor skipper Jon Quinn noticing the Town
keeper off his line blasted a 40 yard shot, The Town
keeper recovering well to safely hold on to Quinny's
effort.

23 minutes gone and the Town take a free kick which
was sent high into the Manor box and dealt with by the
competence of Steve Reading.
25th minute and another Town free kick taken quickly
and cleared by the fist of Carl Prince only as far as
Pamplin who drove the ball down the Manor left Reading
spotting the danger cleared the ball for a corner. Chris
Barratt clearing the corner using his height to stop
any danger.

Both teams having their chances, the Town looking organised
at the back managed to cancel out any threat from the
Manor. Nicky Mitchell playing after 11 weeks due to
an injury looked solid in defence.
39th minute and Connolly on one of his long runs down
the right this time shooting just over the bar.

40th minute and the Town's Dave Allen causing the Manor
problems nearly scoring when he sent a blistering shot
just wide.
42nd minute a Manor free kick 25 yards out saw Quinn
sending a high ball into the danger area, Town keeper
quick off his line as he was challenged by Chris Barratt.

44th minute and Chris Hammond finding some room running
towards goal from the right shoots just over the bar.

The second half and the Manor appeared to dig deep
to prevent the Town from playing the fluent football
seen in the first half. Some hard tackling by Tony Marsh
saw him pick up the first yellow card of the game. Both
sides now trying to find that something extra but failed
to breakdown a resilient defence on both sides. Jay
Felice on for Chris Hammand.

56 minutes gone and the Town's Carey Wright looking
lively purred down the Manor left took his opportunity
but blasted his shot just over the bar.
60th minute Young Steve Whitelock and James Morris
working hard up front to take the game to the Town.
David Allen once more coming close as he hits a volley
from 20 yards just going wide of the post.

68th minute and the Manors best chance saw Quinny break
through running towards the Town goal, sliding the ball
wide to his right, directly into the path of Steve Reading
who blasted the ball well over the bar from close range.

73rd minute and Manor substitute Quinn for Bradley
Mills.
80th minute and Jay Felice's solo effect saw the ball
stopped by the Town keeper. 81 minutes and Carl Prince
off for Steve Richards. 86 minutes and Felice on another
run down the Town right cut off by the advancing Town
keeper.

88th minute and the Town back playing to some neat
attacking football only to be cut off by the Manors
hard working defence. 89th minute and Marsh receiving
his 2nd yellow after a 50/50 challenge.

The game finishing 1-0 to the Town, both sides having
their chances to wrap the game up. Full credit to the
Towner's who stayed composed and didn't panic into any
mistakes.

The Manor can take some pride from their performance
today. Next stop is Ruislip Manor in the 3rd Round of
The London Senior Cup on Monday 17th January Kick off
