| The
Manor with a full strength squad fought hard in defence
today but Barkingside proved far to strong for the Manor
as fitness levels decided the game.

Barkingside pinned the Manor back into their own half
for long periods of the game. The first 5 minutes Barkingside
could have scored at it not been for the determination
of the Manor defence. Tony Barnes working hard to keep
the scores level. Johnny Quinn Manor skipper back from
a lengthy break showed real class organising his back
line and proved how much he has been missed. Prosper
Lobe on the odd occasion managing to create some brilliance
to take the pressure off the Manor defence.

9 minutes and James Morris taking a free kick from
40 yards out, looping ball high into the Barkingside
area caught the wind and hit the post!
21 minutes and Barkingside not easing off the pressure
on the Manor as Leon Diaczuk and Limianaj proved to
much for the Manor to handle. Some fabulous creative
play from this much improved Barkingside team nearly
getting their rewards when a beautiful ball sent down
the Manor right from Yellop to the feet of Paul Carr
who tuned Tony Marsh to fire his shot just over the
bar.

27 minutes and Carl Prince called into action with
a brilliant save from close range. 30 minutes and Prince
once again coming to the rescue as Barkingside attack
down the right, Carr shooting from 20 yards out Prince
palms the ball out for a corner.

some great build up play from Danny Gilley in midfield,
Diaczuk running onto the ball and neatly putting away
his goal 0-1 to Barkingside.

The remaining minutes of the first half saw Barkingside
continue to pin the Manor back and could have scored
again when Limianaj went solo hitting his shot just
wide of the post.
The second half exploded in the 47th minute when from
a free kick 35 yards out sent a great ball over the
top into the path of Tony Barnes who took his shot sweetly
to level the scores 1-1.

49 minutes and Barkingside keeping the pressure on
the Manor defence regained the lead when Llir Limianaj
took his opportunity well to score against the outstretched
hands of Carl Prince.

Morris who was working hard down the left sent a class
ball into the path of Lobe who shot over bar.

of the game when Quinn sent the ball wide to the right
for Glenn Connolly who attacked down the right wing,
Connolly sending a great ball into the danger area,
Lobe collects and sends the ball wide of the post.
59 minutes gone and Chris Hammond holding possession
allowing the Manor midfield to pour forward sent a delicate
ball to Steve Whitelock, Whitelock chipped the ball
into the path of Tony Marsh down the Barkingside right
sent a fabulous ball into the area for Steve Reading
who hit a blistering shot just wide.
61 minute and Barkingside collecting the ball from
just inside their own half sending a long ball into
the path of Simon Thomas, despite a heavy challenge
from Barnes managed to find enough room to score 1-3
to Barkingside.
64 minutes gone and its all Barkingside, some class
play from their skipper Danny Gilley who was organising
most of the play from midfield and forcing the Manor
back into their own half.

66 minutes and Barkingside hit the Manor, this time
down the middle, Thomas nearly getting his second of
the afternoon sent the ball just wide.
68 minutes and Manors first substitutes, Lobe and Whitelock
off for Felice and Mills.

70 minutes and Barkingside keeping the pressure on
the Manor keeper, as Prince having to make a rally of
saves to keep the visitors from scoring from any more.
74 Minutes and Bradley Mills and Jay Felice involved
in a rare Manor attack resulting in Connolly hitting
his shot wide.

Carl Prince involved yet again with some brilliant
goalkeeping displays in the 77th and 81st minute both
attempts saved from point blank range.
84th minute and Barkingside score their 4th from Thomas
scoring his second of the afternoon looking very composed
as he took his opportunity well.

89th Minute and Quinn sending Bradley Mills on a run
just knocking the ball over the bar.
A very clinical display by Barkingside today. Some
great football played by the visitors and by far the
best team the Manor have played this season. Despite
The Manor having a full squad to choose from were second
best for most of the afternoon.
